  • Three Sisters Garden:-- All are invited to work sessions (Saturday mornings) and workshops/potlucks (Sunday afternoons) this fall in Greenbelt MD. Below is a schedule of work days and co-learning workshops/potlucks for September/October.
  • Saturday September 11: Work-Morning- 9-11:30 AM: --Schrom Hills Park (6915 Hanover Parkway): Cover Crop and Fruit Tree Planting and Garden Construction
  • Sunday September 26: Food and Fun Raising Workshop/Potluck 3:00-6:30: -- Springhill Lake Recreation Center Garden (6101 Cherrywood Lane): Kick Off—Equinox Celebration—Medicine Wheel Gardens, Sheet Mulching and Fruit Tree Plantings—Bring dish to share
  • Saturday October 2: Work-Morning- 9-11:30 AM: -- Greenbelt Community Center Garden (15 Crescent Road): Clean Up and Cover Crop Planting
  • Sunday October 23: Food and Fun Raising Workshop/Potluck 3:00 to 6:30PM:-- Springhill Lake Recreation Center Garden-- Square Foot Garden Construction Workshop—Bring dish to share
    Volunteers and crew work leaders are needed for each site. Please contact Maggie Cahalan (maggie@chears.org) or Lucy Duff (lucyduff@earthlink.net) for more information. The Three Sisters Garden project is approved as one for which Prince George’s County Master Gardeners can receive volunteer work credit and school community service credit hours are also available

  • Real and Meal at New Deal:--- Events are on Third Mondays. Next event is on Monday, September 20 An optional vegan meal ($13) will be served beginning at 6:30 with film beginning at 7PM. — .
