The outline of the CHEARS logo is a bog turtle, once common in our watershed, now one of the world's most endangered turtles. The water in the middle of the turtle's shell represents all the tributaries and rivers flowing into the Chesapeake Bay. On the right river bank, the land and house represent suburban and urban land, while the furrows on the left river bank represent agricultural land and forests.
